Siesta is mid-day nap taken to increase evening productivity. Siesta is often taken after a meal and is said to benefit health and longevity. The optimum time for siesta occurs 7-8 hours from natural waking. The name is actually derived from Biblical hora sexta, which means sixth hour counting from dawn (12:00-15:00 in Jewish calendar).
