Chronotype
Chronotype is a set of parameters that describe an individual's sleep control system. In particular, biological characteristics that affect the timing, duration, and rhythmicity of sleep are of paramount interest. In popular parlance, the chronotype determines if a person is a lark, owl, long-sleeper, irregular sleeper, DSPS, etc.
It is relatively easy to determine the chronotype by the analysis of one's own habits, however, it is very hard to formulate a universal questionnaire due to a huge array of interfering factors, and variable interdependencies. Most of all, the same chronotype may express drastically different characteristics in different lifestyles.
