Jump to navigation Jump to search

Cloze deletion is a sentence in which an important keyword has been replaced with three dots: [...].

For example:

  A: Ouagadougou

In incremental reading, simple sentences are converted to cloze deletions with a single click or keystroke.

In SuperMemo, cloze deletion was first implemented in May 1999 and made available in SuperMemo 9.5 (aka SuperMemo 99) in October 1999.
