Creative vacation is a period of creative work in conditions of isolation from the noise of the world. Some of the best work by Newton, Mendel, or Darwin could be attributed to undisturbed contemplation. Even Bill Gates at Microsoft would take a Think Week twice per year (e.g. coming up with Internet Explorer in 1995).
