Curse of knowledge

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Curse of knowledge may affect an expert who thinks his texts or lectures are easy to understand for his audience. The curse of expertise may affect students who try to obtain new skills from an expert. Knowledge and expertise are great for understanding the reality, however, they may also hinder the transmission of information. My texts are notoriously hard due to the fact that I always try to define things precisely and keep introducing new terminology that makes reading hard. If you want to learn incremental reading, take an easy route. For example, watch videos or experiment on your own.

Curse of knowledge is one of the main reasons why schooling does not work.
