Discipline

Discipline in the context of schooling is used to refer to a rich and strict set of rules regulating behavior. Discipline stands in opposition to conditions needed to foster intelligence. It is also highly harmful for behavioral reasons and may aggravate or lead to mental health disorders.

Discipline is a quintessential component of the Prussian model of schooling. The Prussian system is based on an optimization model that uses wrong optimization criteria. When driven to perfection, the model leads to absurd levels of learning inefficiency as explained in this text: Prussian discipline inevitably destroys education.
