Economics of learning. New aspects in designing modern computer aided self-instruction systems was my Doctoral Dissertation presented in 1995 at the University of Economics in Wroclaw, Poland. The thesis was supervised by Prof. Witold Abramowicz.

Main contributions

The thesis described Algorithm SM-6 and outlined the future of hypermedia tools in learning (see: Knowledge Machine). That outline gave birth to incremental reading five years later. A separate chapter is devoted to the impact of knowledge structuring on the quality of learning. That chapter later evolved into 20 rules of formulating knowledge
