Repetition or review in spaced repetition stands for an act of retrieving information from memory. In SuperMemo it usually follows the following steps:
- the student is asked a question
- the student answers the question (e.g. in her mind)
- the student provides a grade for the accuracy of the answer
The term review may additionally refer to the act of passive reading of a portion of a text in incremental reading.
