Robert Bjork

Robert Bjork is one of the pioneers in the field of memory and learning. One of his contributions relevant to spaced repetition is the separation of storage strength and retrieval strength in his New Theory of Disuse (for details see: Two components of memory). He is also known for conducting one of the earliest studies in the area of spaced rehearsal (1978).
