Schools are a place of learning. In this book, I am highly critical of the role of schools in modern education. This is why I need to explain that I try to use a pejorative term schooling when referring to the bad effects of schools, and simply school when referring to the totality of good and bad effects of good and bad schools.

The bad: I am primarily critical of the Prussian model of schooling, or a Factory model of schooling, of passive lecturing, and of the limits on freedom in the process of compulsory or coercive schooling. I am also critical of the highly harmful forms of socialization achieved with age-segregated closed system employed in schooling.

The good: I try to promote modern approach to education based on free schooling. In particular, I demand the respect for personal freedoms and the Fundamental law of learning.

In addition, I try to promote incremental reading as a theoretical model of perfect lifelong learning that involves pleasure of learning, high creativity, long-term memory, high coherence, high applicability of knowledge, respect for circadian cycle, and more.

I summarize my thinking in a proposition for a Grand Reform of Education.

Due to an exponential increase in the awareness of the bad effects of schooling, reforms in the direction of free learning are inevitable, and not far away
