SuperMemo 9 (aka SuperMemo 98) was the first 32-bit version of SuperMemo for Windows released in 1998. New features introduced in SuperMemo 9 sound pretty ancient today. Things like long filenames, long texts or HTML, we take for granted today.
In 1999, SuperMemo 9.5 (aka SuperMemo 99) provided first hints of incremental reading: reading lists, cloze deletion, branch review, etc. (see details).
SuperMemo 9 branched into Multimedia SuperMemo and SuperMemo 10. Multimedia SuperMemo gave origin to SuperMemo UX. Those clones are no longer in development.
