SuperMemo for DOS was the first line of SuperMemo software developed in the years 1987-1991. It started from SuperMemo 1.0 for DOS in 1987, and ended with SuperMemo 6.0 in 1991. SuperMemo for DOS was later rewritten to run in Windows (1992). SuperMemo for DOS was the first application based on spaced repetition. It used Algorithm SM-2 that is still used in many learning applications worldwide.
